Christmas Catch-Up

Christmas was a lot of fun for our family, as it usually is. Santa managed to find our house and leave lots of goodies.

As I mentioned in my last post, one thing we did a little different was make the kids wait a few hours before opening presents. This was to give my parents and brother enough time to get up and come over to spend the day with us. We let the kids check out their stockings (and they had opened one present already on Christmas Eve).

We finally got started with presents late morning. Everybody had their pile!

The kids got lots of fun stuff. Books are a big hit around here as usual (for me as well as the kids), as well as Webkinz, crafts and other kits.

McKay is getting to be a hard boy to shop for, but he ended up with several books, a couple of games, some new BYU stuff (tie and shirt), some Wii games and a couple of electronic kits to help him learn to solder.

Hannah also got books (including several cat books -- still her favorite), a singing Wii game, cat PJs and several crafts, such as PixO beads and an origami set.

Courtney, ever the dog lover, got several dog-themed books, a dog nightgown, the Puppyopoly game and other fun toys like Zhu Zhu rooms, Squinkies and Littlest Pet Shop.

Hayley's loot was similar to Courtney's in many ways -- Littlest Pet Shop, Squinkies, Webkinz, Zhu Zhu and of course books! She also got a Play-Doh set, a jewelry box and stuff for lots of coloring fun.

After presents are opened, the fun comes in trying out all the new stuff (not to mention seeing how big of a mess can be made)!
