Keystone

On Tuesday, we met Malinda & Will again over at the Keystone Resort, where they have a small lake and paddleboats, plus a playground. Here is my sister's family: Malinda, Will and their boys Ethan, Zachary and Connor:

When we arrived, the girls were so excited to see all the ducks in and around the lake. Courtney was especially intrigued by the ducks.

We even saw a mama duck and her babies!

A not-so-great picture of the kids with the lake behind them (the lighting wasn't right on this picture for some reason).

The girls found more flowers to pick (not that they should, but we did our best to quell their flower-picking tendencies).

Then it was time to get out on the paddleboats! The girls got matching pink Barbie lifejackets.

Ethan and McKay got to pedal and steer Brian on their boat:

Malinda, Will, Zachary and Connor (who cried most of the time) were out on a boat:

And I had Hannah, Courtney and Hayley on a boat. Hayley was constantly standing up and walking to the edge, so I tried to keep hold of her all the time (not always easy!).

We had a bag of duck food with us and the girls loved feeding the ducks.

At one point, Courtney spilled most of the duck food in the back part of the boat, and the ducks were reaching right into the boat to eat it!

So we sent Hannah to the back (she had been pedaling with me) and gave her the job of getting as much food as possible from the boat into the water.

We had fun out on the lake! After the boats, we walked over to the little playground area. Hayley of course wanted Daddy to carry her (we didn't bring our stroller).

The kids were so excited to find a tire swing at the playground:

Hayley's favorite thing was to sit and play in the sand.

Brian was engrossed in Harry Potter...

...but McKay pulled him away long enough for a game of horseshoes:

I had to pose a picture of the kids sitting on the StageCoach monkey bars (such gorgeous background scenery!).

Some individual shots of the kids...

(McKay didn't want to look at me for his picture, but I thought it turned out kind of cool with his Astros cap and shirt.)
